Kensal Green – Slough Arm – Springwell Lock

Left Kensal Green and stopped for lunch at the Black Horse at Greenford. Continued cruising and stopped for a chat with Pip outside Willowtree Marina, passed through Bulls Bridge onto the Grand Union heading north. We had a slight diversion up the Slough Arm as far as the winding hole just after bridge 4, it started off okay but gradually became very shallow so we thought it was time to turn around and found moorings near bridge 1. Once past the industrial part of the Grand Union it was nice to get back into countryside. A quick heavy rain shower so it was time to pull in for moorings, next to the nature reserve near Springwell Lock.
