Frampton on Severn – Gloucester – Tewkesbury – Worcester

Headed for Gloucester knowing we would be waiting there awhile as both the Avon and the Severn were in flood and it had also got very windy. Only had to wait two days before we set off for a 3 hour cruise to Tewkesbury, mooring below the lock. Early start the next day for a 5 hour cruise to Worcester, finding moorings by the racecourse. Luckily the weather has improved and it was a lovely scenic run up the River Severn, the river being very busy, probably as it is bank holiday Monday.

Wow its like looking through our photos when we did it, we moored in exactly the same place at Tewkesbury, great fun getting off the boat especially with a dog! and in Worcester, although we only had a walk and then carried on to Stourport on Severn. Was starting to wonder if you were stuck due to the floods with no blog!

Hi guys

love seeing the photos. About time you hand some decent weather looks like you are in for a good week according to the forcast?
The lock looks scary im sure its not. Went to see Neil on monday and paid the deposit now that was scary but also exciting. Me being me i was firing questions at him quicker than he could answer them. enjoy yourselves

Hi Ali
I seem to be in lots of trouble for missing a few days blogging!!! Due to the rain and the river being in flood we just holed up for a few days, back on track now and back to blue skies.

Hi Mark and Wendy
Must admit the locks on the river are huge, not what we are used to on the canals. I don't think you will have any regrets, time will fly as Ali will vouch, they have been waiting as long as you will have. xx
