Kings Sutton to Aynho Wharf

Only travelled a short distance. The locks have got a lot deeper, the last one being 10ft 8ins. The River Cherwell has been meandering alongside the canal for some distance now, and so as the railway. The unusual diamond shaped lock at Aynho Weir is a shallow lock of 8.5ins, but was built to compensate for the next lock along which is the deepest narrow beam chamber on the canal system, being 12ft deep.
