Set off Monday morning, luckily we found moorings this time in Paddington Basin. Now time for us to hit London, unfortunately Rog has to pay a visit to the A & E at St. Mary’s to have his toe looked at.
Heatherwick Studio’s Rolling Bridge, adjacent to our mooring
Spans an inlet of the Grand Union canal at Paddington Basin
The bridge is now transformed into an octagon that now stands one side of the canal
Our moorings for seven days, awaiting the arrival of mum and dad
Working boats, getting ready to be loaded with gravel
All loaded full of gravel, ready to go to Atherstone, 120 miles away

The bridge looks great, who operates it? I had read about the working boats removing the gravel yesterday, bet it was a great sight! Looks like you are having a great time visiting the sites, got good weather yet again!!!
We had a lovely time on the Mons & Brec, didn't want to come back!
Ali
great pics, cant wait to join you
The security guys show it off on Friday's at a certain time, but for some reason they were testing it when we arrived.
Missed the working boats leaving, but they have been loading for a few days.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday, it's getting a bit worrying now with all the closures around.
xx
