Springwell Lock to Cassiobury Park

Still cruising past all the flooded gravel pits. Stopped at Tesco as we were passing the excellent moorings between bridges 174 and 173 which now occupies the site of Frogmoor Wharf a former boat building yard for the GUCCC. Although it was rather windy today and we had a few sharp showers, on the whole we had another warm sunny day. Cruised as far as Cassiobury Park.

Hi Karen and Ian...

Thanks Karen for pointing me at your excellent blog. Waded through every entry today...should have been working really but meh!

I thought I'd been cured of my fear of locks after the Bosley thing a few years ago but some of the locks on your journey have made me break out in a cold sweat!

Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed reading the blog. It has certainly been a great adventure and it is not over yet. Hope you and Sue are keeping well, we will have to meet up sometime and have a catch up.
