A mixture of sunshine and cloud today, but a very pleasant cruise through Calderdale. On one side we were low in cuttings and on the other we were high up on embankments, as we wound our way along the hillside. The Calder & Hebble now completed as we arrive at Sowerby Bridge. We took on diesel at Shire Cruisers ready for the start of the Rochdale.

Approaching our first Guillotine lock at Salterhebble
Entering the lock, can’t say I enjoyed the experience.
