Another busy day, set off from Littleborough to do 2 swing bridges and 15 locks taking us through Rochdale. All went well, after the stories we had been hearing, we didn’t know what to expect. The two locks in Rochdale were very thick with rubbish, but no worse than we have been through before in other towns. The Slattocks flight of locks were very pleasant and we moored not long after just before the aqueduct at Chadderton.
The second lock through Rochdale
An inscription under the bridge
A removable floating tow path under the M62
A tight squeeze
The lock house at the top of Slattocks locks
Plenty of water now
